Toronto dodgeball league now offering Trampoline Dodgeball

I was speaking with Marco of Off Limit Sports the other day. He mentioned they are now offering Trampoline Dodgeball. Huh? How exactly does that work, anyway, I thought. See the video below for a full demonstration, but basically it’s played on an entire floor of trampoline, adding an new dimension to the game of dodgeball.

Their trampoline dodgeball league, the only one in Toronto as of right now, runs on a coed 6 on 6 format, complete with refs. Teams need to have a minimum of 2 of each gender on the team.

Those interested don’t necessarily have to have full team together. You can register as an individual or as a team. If as an individual, they’ll set you up on a team. Sounds like a great way to meet new people, especially if you’re new to Toronto. If you’re thinking of signing up as a team, they suggest having 8-10 players.

How many games per week? Each week you’ve got 55 minutes of playing time, so however many games you can fit into that.

Never played the trampoline version of dodgeball? No problem, the first week of play will be an introduction/warm up night to get everyone familiar (or re-familiar!).

I asked Marco what made Off Limit Sports different from other social sports leagues in the city. He mentioned one thing that I know I rarely see in other leagues — that both teams go to the pub together after the games! I guess you could say the league sounds more social as an entirety, instead of just players sticking amongst their team.

The other thing he mentioned that stood out to me was that if you need a sub for your team, the league is hands on in terms of finding one for you, making calls and such.

Finally, he mentioned pricing. Off Limit Sports is priced lower than most other recreational-social leagues in Toronto, according to Marco.

So, what do you think? Check out the Off Limit Sports site for more information on Trampoline Dodgeball.
